What our clients are saying:
“I know that our adult degree completion program has been transformative in our students’ lives.”
Dr. Wayne Strickland, Academic Dean and Vice President
Multnomah University
The need for a bachelor’s degree has never been more evident than in the most recent economic downturn. The more education a person had, the less likely he or she was to be unemployed. From 2009-2010, the unemployment rate for those who attended college but not received a bachelor’s degree was 8-9.4 percent, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Those with a high school diploma experienced unemployment of 9.4-11.2 percent. Those with a bachelor’s degree saw unemployment in the same period of about 4.4-5 percent.
But many of those who could benefit most from completing a degree program were the least able to devote full-time attention to college. There were mortgages, family, and jobs to worry about. These pressing obligations can get in the way of a traditional program.
A degree completion program often serves as the ideal solution for these students. It also can provide a significant boost to a college’s enrollment. These programs cater to those 25 years and older with two years of college. In many cases, they can receive Credit for Prior Learning through our CPL Complete program.
Developing such a program on your own would take years and require significant expenses before the first student enrolls. Knowledge Elements has implemented programs in as little as five months, using an aggressive project schedule. We also do not charge up-front fees, sharing revenues that come from the increased enrollment.
Our format allows a student to complete a degree in about two years, attending class one night a week and focusing on one course at a time. As with our other solutions, you remain in control of the course content.
