Understanding "Sunagogy"

What our clients are saying:

“We were quite surprised at the spiritual appetite of these students. We thought they’d be career driven, and take a minimalist approach. But these students are truly hungry for spiritual transformation.”

Dr. David Schroeder, President
Sommerset Christian College

Our operating philosophy is based on working together for the benefit of all. We bring our strengths and experience to the table, supporting the goals of the colleges with whom we work. We apply much of this philosophy to the learning experience as well.

Sunagogy comes from the Greek word sunago, which means to “bring together.” We believe that when we bring together those from different backgrounds and different learning experiences under the guidance of a skilled facilitator, everyone learns far more than if he or she was studying alone.

In traditional colleges and universities, independent study fosters an idea of student-centered learning while standard classrooms are more instructor-centered. Our models are centered on learning with a clearly defined outcome present in all of our courses.

We believe that with gifted facilitators guiding the interaction, students will explore more and learn more about themselves and from their fellow students, whether that be through discussion, activity, or application.
