What our clients are saying:
“My first month here on the job, they came in and helped me as the new president to see where we wanted to be and how to get there. The report on that was invaluable.”
Dr. Larry McCullough, President
Laurel University
Surely one of the selling points of your college or university is the quality of instruction that is offered. Professors and educators who use their expertise to pour into their students can be a powerful difference in education. In fact, it is estimated that about 70 percent of the learning experience is based on the quality of the instructor.
But as they pour out, who is pouring into them? Knowledge Elements offers various training courses aimed at faculty. We realize that as colleges and universities launch new modes of course delivery, some of the technology can be new as well. We also realize that learning to teach effectively via an online course is not typically a skill that current faculty possess.
We offer faculty training to help them learn the tools—such as our Atheneo online platform and course design tool iCourse Creator—that are needed in an online or blended delivery situation. We also offer forums and social networking experiences through which instructors can exchange tips and ideas for enhancing the learning experience.
We provide mentoring and training for administration and staff as well, not just where use of our technology is concerned. One of the great failings is that often people are promoted into positions based on what they have achieved in the past. While that can be a marker of potential, they often are left to encounter new tasks and challenges without any assistance.
Knowledge Elements can help assess areas of weakness and craft training and mentoring to fill those gaps.
